The performance yesterday (9/28) that I did for the Board of Directors at Strathmore went very well!

We are all very excited for all that is to come this season and for a big event that Strathmore is putting together that I will be a part of. It’s called “Strathmore Cabaret! Blues Bash”. The performance will be on Saturday, October 29th at 7pm at AMP by Strathmore, a very nice nightclub owned by Strathmore. Tickets are at $150 for General Admission and $500 for VIP. RSVP by October 7, 2016. The dress code is cocktail attire. I will be performing with Ines Nassara, Simone Baron, Patrick McAvinue, Joey Antico, and Ethan Foote, among other great artists. AMP by Strathmore is located at 11810 Grand Park Avenue, North Bethesda, MD 20852.

Me and my friend, political activist, and author, Thione Niang. Thank you so much for inviting me to perform at the Give 1 Project Global Leadership Program Gala. I also appreciate you encouraging me to share my story with the representatives from 40 countries that attended the event last night. One of the songs I performed was an original song of mine entitled “I’m Here”. The song talks about how we are here to make a difference and that change starts within ourselves. The song got a standing ovation and Thione then came up to thank me and shared with the audience how he was inspired by my story. Congratulations on all of your success with the Akon Lighting Africa Project, Give 1 Project, and your new books, “Faces of Change” and “Les Héritiers de Madiba”!

I got to meet with my friend Thione Niang from the Akon Lighting Africa Project!

It was great meeting with my friend Thione Niang (www.thioneniang.co) from the Akon Lighting Africa Project to discuss current projects and the Give 1 Project Global Leadership Program taking place this week in Washington, D.C. He is a great author and political activist. We also got to pick up the prints for the posters being used for the program this week. His new books are “Faces of Change” and “Les Héritiers de Madiba”. Proud of you!
